Los Angeles, November 11
- Brazilian actress Bianca Rossini has written her first novel
''Julia'' and will be hosting a book signing at La Fondue
Bourguignonne, French Restaurant (13359 Ventura Blvd., Sherman
Oaks, California 91423) on Thursday, November 15, from 6 to 8
p.m.
''Julia'' is a novel about the tantalizing, passionate
world of the European modeling scene. It tells the story of a
woman with aspirations of becoming a model and actress who
abandons her old life and heads for Milan, a setting full of
romance and danger. While her career soars, Julia is haunted
by past memories of love and betrayal, and discovers her
courage within.
A truly international talent, Bianca Rossini hails from Rio
de Janeiro, Brazil. Besides English, she speaks fluent
Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French. She also co-wrote a
sitcom pilot “Chiquitas” and the story for a miniseries in
collaboration with Brazil’s top comedy actor Chico Anysio. She
has also written songs for Chicago Hope and The Sentinel TV
series.
Every week in Southern California TV, Bianca's dynamic
personality graces the airwaves on The Bianca Rossini Talk
Show, where she probes some of the most creative and
interesting minds with intriguing and straightforward
conversation.
Nowadays Bianca Rossini is a one-woman entertainment
conglomerate. Bianca has touched upon almost every aspect of
show business. Not only is she an accomplished actress, she
has danced, choreographed and written music for several of the
television shows she guest starred in Hollywood.
Julia - Now the delicious diva has self-published a
novel entitled ''Julia'', which is about a beautiful young
Brazilian model who left her country to pursue her dreams and
success abroad. While finding intrigue and romance in the
backdrop of the glamorous world of modeling Julia always goes
back to her memories of her youth in Brazil for strength to
survive and succeed.
According to Charles Casillo (The Marilyn Diaries), ''A
romantic candy box of a novel. In Julia you’ll find a
character every bit as beautiful, adventurous, and delicious
as her creator.”
Because of Bianca’s multiple talents and experiences, the
characters in ''Julia'' are so authentic that you cannot avoid
thinking that they are based on the writer’s real life. Some
readers think that the heroine is based on Bianca Rossini
herself but...shhhhh!...don't tell anyone. It is a secret.
In the opinion of photographer Larry Busacca, ''Before you
become a model, read Julia. Light! Camera! Passion! Bianca
Rossini has written an engaging and glamorous behind the
scenes look at the life of a model.”
“All the while I was writing the book I saw scenes in my
head as if it were a movie.” Rossini says, “Certainly I think
Julia would be a great character for a Brazilian actress to
portray on screen.“ Already word of mouth on the book has been
great. “People say that Julia is hard to put down,” she adds,
“ they tell me that they root for the characters; best of all
people say they’ve discovered something new and that the book
inspired them. That’s music to any writer’s ears.”
Bianca has been featured and interviewed in many
publications, including Venice magazine, Angelenos, Latin
Style, Folha de Sao Paulo, Estadão newspaper, Jornal da Tarde,
Isto e, and recently Chiques e Famosos magazine. As an actress
Bianca has acted opposite such stars as Richard Dreyfuss, Dick
Van Dyke, Christian Slater, Arsenio Hall, Hector Elizano,
James Spader, Dom Deluise and others.
And what are her dreams? “To have my own show on National
American and Brazilian Television.” Rossini replies. And then
she adds, “and of course to see Julia made into a film.”
